R&D Center

Since its foundation, Tisan Engineering Plastics has become a part of the sector with intensive research and development activities. Tisan R&D Center was established in order to use research and development habits to develop new products, technological solutions and new business areas. 

Our R&D Center is an important business unit with the values and opportunities which gives beyond of just doing research and development to its employees. The valuable ideas and works of our employees are realized as new products in the sector with the experience of Tisan.

Our R&D Center also adopts Tisan’s philosophy and takes the direction of sustainable developments both nationally and internationally through collaborations with universities and technical staff from different disciplines.

As Tisan R&D Center, we aim to do useful works for our country by cooperating with different structures, combining knowledge and experience. We are in cooperation with other R&D Centers and universities. R&D projects, student internships, laboratory facilities, career and technical activities and technical trips are the scope of the joint activities. Tisan is open to all kinds of cooperation and we are ready to share our experience and knowledge. 

Innovative Products:

Olebond® products developed by our R&D Center which is a trademark of maleic anhydride containing polymers registered by Tisan Engineering Plastics. This group of products is produced by grafting maleic anhydride to the main polymer using a reactive extrusion method. This group of products is produced for the first time in Turkey and aims to reduce the supply from abroad.

High performance engineering plastics meet high requirements in harsh environmental conditions. The operating temperature of these plastics is above 150°C and provides superior properties such as low friction, chemical resistance and high temperature resistance. Compounds which have improved their durability and performance for metal substitutes, are increasing their use especially in automotive, transportation and mechanical parts sectors. Tisan Engineering Plastics has developed the products of polyphenyl sulphide [PPS] and polyphthalamide [PPA] compounds in R&D Center.

BioSTAR® products, another product group developed in our R&D Center, contain bio-based raw materials and decompose with enzymatic systems to release carbon dioxide, water, methane, inorganic compounds and biomass. Thus, it goes back to the environmental cycle by mixing with nature. Bio-based compounds are developed as alternative biodegradable or longer lasting products that meet the needs of our customers by increasing the bio content ratio with special additives.
